Adam S. Affleck
Adam Affleck's practice focuses on trial and appellate work involving bankruptcy, real estate, contracts, secured transactions, fraud, trade regulation and antitrust. His bankruptcy experience includes representation of creditors, trustees and debtors in all aspects of liquidation and reorganization proceedings.
Mr. Affleck has published and lectured on topics concerning creditors' rights and bankruptcy. In addition to his private practice, Mr. Affleck also serves as an adjunct professor of law at Brigham Young University, teaching bankruptcy law.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Affleck graduated with honors from Boise State University with a B.A. degree in English in 1986. He received a J.D. degree with honors from Brigham Young University in 1989. During law school he served as a member and articles editor of the Brigham Young University Law Review and as a legal writing teaching assistant.
Mr. Affleck's prior professional experience includes a private law practice in Salt Lake City and three years of service as a law clerk for two bankruptcy judges in the Eastern District of California. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Utah and California.
